Pine Cone in the Snow Reflection When heading down the trail

When heading down the trail I was treated to this view of the runoff from the glacier and the clouds hanging onto the mountains on a rainy Alaska day

As I photographed from this location I noticed the black and white verticals and horizontals in a building nearby

As I was walking around the city I made it to Civic Center Park placing my camera on the ground to include the pavers as part of the image

I choose to photograph this as a vertical allowing the viewer to get the sense of scale of this building built in the 1930's

On this day with some overcast skies I looked straight up to them as they danced on a grey day providing a positive reflection to those overcast conditions

Pine Cone in the Snow Reflection When heading down the trailIn the a typical spring fashion as some snow fell in the city. Taking advantage of this, I headed to the foothills to photograph. I soon came across a tree with many pine cones where I spent some time taking pictures. With the fresh snow in the tree and a small blanket of snow as a background this was one of my favorites from the images I took.
