Antique Chinese Song Dynasty Cream Glazed Ceramic Bowl curtain We have fitted it withHere we have a stunning, antique Chinese ceramic bowl, dating back to the Song dynasty (960 1279 AD). Although this bowl may be small it is packed with rich Chinese history and illustrates the major movement in Chinese ceramics. Due to the depletion of timber in China, during the Song dynasty, coal was used instead to fuel the kilns. This altered the iron impurities within the glaze causing a change in colour, from cool blue to a yellow cream slip
